The last Black Bananas record, Rad Times Express IV, still gets a lot of play in my tape deck. This first single, "Physical Emotions" (from June 24th's album of the same name), is less guitar-ish and way more electronic, but no fear - it is still coming from a rockin' place.

What I'm trying to tell you is that this rules and is a rare/worthy case of qualifying for our FUCK YEAH/HOT TRAXXX stamp of approval. Quit sleeping and jam this fucking loud.

A very solid new video for BANKS' broodingly evil track "Brain". I'm glad to see her visual sense is on equal ground with her musical talent and I'll continue looking forward to her debut LP coming this spring.

Spoiler alert: Enter the Slasher House, the debut album from Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks, isn't very good. If you're like me then that is a total bummer because their first single, "Little Fang", was quite strong. Seriously, this song sounds fanfuckingtastic and it makes me feel so goddamned good inside. Oh, here's a full disclosure though: I don't like Animal Collective, however I enjoy Panda Bear - so y'know proceed with caution.

Here's the video for that killer jam, but the visuals are completely skippable. Just listen to the musssssiiiccccccc, man.

FUCK YEAH: No Age - C'mon Stimmung [STREAM]

I'm afraid to be living in a time where No Age announce a new album and no one is flipping out. An Object is out August 20th on Sub Pop and I am very excited to hear their newest masterpiece.

Check out "C'mon Stimmung" which puts the duo's further progression fully on displayed while dipped in that delicious rock n roll flavor that they make so goddamned well.

HOT TRAXXX: Airbird & Napolian - In the Zone [STREAM]

HOLY SHIT - I just found the aptly named "In the Zone" by Airbird & Napolian (with beautiful guest vocals by solo artist/Au Revoir Simone's Erika Spring) a few days ago and I can't believe everyone isn't freaking out about it!

Great production all throughout, but 2 minutes in the dough really starts to rise and what you're left with is fucking delicious. ZONE OUT: this is the new flesh.

HOT TRAXXX: Salvia Plath - House of Leaves [VIDEO]

I know I was anxiously awaiting a new Run DMT release after 2011's brilliant Dreams tape. At long last, news has arrived from the furthest reaches of the Earth: after being chased away from his namesake by shitty DJs, Michael Collins has now reemerged with the genius name Salvia Plath. There's a new record coming out - it's called The Bardo Story, it comes out July 8th on Weird World and that's the crazy radical artwork for it above by Robert Beatty.

Here's the video for "House of Leaves". It's a killer video and holy shit: the song sound like some good gravy.

HOT TRAXXX: Weekend - Mirror [STREAM]

Goddamn, I was not expecting a new Weekend album to be announced today, but sometimes you get lucky: Jinx is out July 23rd from Slumberland. Enjoy "Mirror", the album's very, very great first single.

HOT TRAXXX: Young Galaxy - New Summer [STREAM]

Young Galaxy have delivered quality tunes for years now, but "New Summer" captures something truly special in 4 minutes and 12 seconds. It's worthy of endless repeats; with this and the other tracks floating out there, I am very curious to see what Ultramarine (out April 23rd) is going to bring to the table.

FUCK YEAH: Deerhunter - Monomania [STREAM]

There's always a curiosity that is in the air whenever a new Deerhunter song is released for the first time: can they keep it up?

"Monomania", the title track from their May 7th long player, shows that yes they can indeed keep it up. In fact, they sound more erect and reinvigorated than ever before.

Here's the crazy infectious "Weight", another track from Mikal Cronin's upcoming album MCII. This song is seriously the best thing I've ever heard from him.

HOT TRAXXX: AlunaGeorge - Attracting Flies [STREAM]

While I've liked most everything I've heard from AlunaGeorge thus far, "Attracting Flies" is the first HOLY SHIT song of theirs that has hit my ears. It's beat and vocals are butter slick, lettuce fresh and bubblegum catchy - it's the kind of track you need to instantly repeat as soon as it's over.

Their debut Body Music doesn't come out until the summer, which is criminal but also perfect timing for something of this caliber.

HOT TRAXXX: CHVRCHES - Recover [STREAM]

After a slam dunk of a debut single, CHVRCHES return with a stellar layup: "Recover" is the title track from the group's forthcoming ep, out March 26th in the US on Glassnote.
