Let's have a killer weekend. Here is a b-side from last year's really great "More Modern Short Stories From..." by Hello Saferide. It totally wouldn't have fit on that record, clearly, but it's still completely awesome as it's own thing. This one showed up in October on Razzia's "There's A Razzia Going On Volume 2".

The great thing about Hello Saferide is that she's consistent, which seems to go unappreciated around these parts. Hopefully the upcoming "More modern short stories from..." will change that. Check out and enjoy the mp3 and video for the single "Anna". The record comes out September 24th from Razzia. Hopefully It's a Trap! will have some copies for us gents in the States sooner than later.

MP3: Hello Saferide - I was definitely made for these times

It's impossible to delve into music from Sweden and not end up finding and loving Hello Saferide. You can find a million mp3 blogs posting songs and going crazy for Annika Norlin's charming pop songs that highly impossible not to relate to.

So this is something different. This is the A side to a single released by London's Regal Records. She describes it as "a song that was both stupid and smart at the same time, in true Motown style. I think I succeeded." I think so too. Hopefully a preview of what's to come from a great songwriter.
