Grouper - Vital [STREAM]

One of my favorite 21st century artists returns!

Grouper will release The Man Who Died in His Boat this February 4th on Kranky - the material comes from the same era as her seminal 2008 LP Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill (which will be re-released at the same time on Kranky), yet has remained unreleased until now. Check out "Vital", which of course sounds like more great business as usual from Liz Harris.

New Grouper: Alien Observer

MP3: Grouper - Alien Observer

Grouper was one of the best shows I saw last year and her recorded output is always spot on. "Alien Observer" is our first peek of the 2 record "A I A", this one being the title track to the second LP. Highly recommended, and this opus sees release on April 11th from Grouper's own Yellow Electric.

SICK/SICK/SIX

MP3: Grouper - Sick

It's totally one of those drone/sludge days, so enjoy the b-side on a recent & out of print 7 inch from Grouper. Enjoy.

New Grouper video: "Hold the Way".

Grouper - Hold the Way from Weston Currie on Vimeo.

Awesome awesome new Grouper video for an as of right now unreleased new song. Pretty creepy but entirely incredible.
