HOT TRAXXX: Cold Cave - A Little Death to Laugh [STREAM]

A new Cold Cave offering means the group has gone through it's semi-regular sea change, retaining only it's CEO Wesley Eisold in the process. While a tour has been booked with a new band, Eisold wrote and recorded a new 7 inch by his lonesome in the process: A Little Death to Laugh is 3 songs "inspired by the late poet Tristan Corbiere". He must've been awesome, because this song rules.

The first pressing of 500 sold out super quick, so another batch is being offered. Don't miss out: http://coldcave.net/site/store/recordings/a-little-death-to-laugh-7/

Bleached but not ruined.

Los Angeles' Ooga Booga store has been a great mail order resource for years and I am happy to see they've entered the record label business. Their first release? The debut 7 inch from Bleached, featuring Jennifer (Cold Cave, Mika Miko) and Jessie (Mika Miko) Clavin. It's limited to 500 copies on black wax and from the song "No Friend of Mine", it sounds pretty fuckin' ripped too!

New Cold Cave: The Great Pan Is Dead

MP3: Cold Cave - The Great Pan Is Dead

Wes Eisold's Cold Cave project is back with a new album called "Cherish the Light Years", and if it's first single (and opening track) is any indication, it's back in full blast. Download "The Great Pan Is Dead" above or below through the widget for an email address (which will give you lyrics and art). This, their 2nd album, comes out April 5th on Matador.

C-c-c-c-c-cold C-c-c-c-c-cave (teeth chatter).

MP3: Cold Cave - Life Magazine
MP3: Cold Cave - Youth and Lust

What's been so great about listening to Cold Cave visionary Wesley Eisold's music over the years is that it seems to grow with you. So I'm putting down a flag and sending out postcards from this location: this is where I am at right now, and it's fucking awesome. "Love Comes Close" is 9 hits of crazed synth-gaze drugs, sticky and sweat drenched, smelling of death and joy. Dube it.
