Toro Y Moi - So Many Details [VIDEO/MP3]

MP3: Toro Y Moi - So Many Details

The evolution of Toro Y Moi has been fascinating to listen to. His newest, January's Anything in Return, is another giant leap forward - it's a real fun/inviting/crazysexycool pop record.

It leaked today (that's why I'm bringing all of this up) and there's a million tracks I'd like to post from it, but I'm going to just give you the one we had all heard before because it's a great single and there is this quite recent (and quite classy) video for it as well.

If you don't have this yet, get on google and do it already!

HOT TRAXXX: Cloud Nothings - Stay Useless

MP3: Cloud Nothings - Stay Useless

Holy shit - Cloud Nothings went from a really cool band to something truly special in the blink of an eye! I saw them earlier in the year and it was a hell of time, and goddamn this new album is everything you would want it to be. "Stay Useless" is easily Attack on Memory's centerpiece, a total rock song with Dylan Baldi hitting some chill inducing notes, all masterfully recorded by the great Steve Albini.

It sounds fresh, exciting and most importantly enduring, something that I hope becomes the trend in 2012 - now with the added pressure of the bar being set so high by January's Attack on Memory. Don't miss it.

New Class Actress: Keep You

MP3: Class Actress - Keep You

The always underrated Elizabeth Harper returns with her Class Actress project, this time following up on last year's leave-you-wanting-much-more ep " Journal of Ardency". Well here is more: "Rapprocher", which is apparently French for "come closer", drops out of an airplane on October 18th from Carpark. Hear opener and all around great pop song "Keep You" now, it's real cool.

New beatings.

Another certified mover and shaker of a hit: "New Beat" is another track from the I-can't-believe-it-still-hasn't-leaked-yet Toro y Moi lp "Underneath the Pine". Dig it.

High honours

This Cloud Nothings dude is the real deal. His self titled full length is full of comfortable winter sweaters with the right amount of lint of them.

Still.
